Quality, Reliability, Professionalism
Welcome!
My name is Chris, and I founded C&S Toolworks out of a passion for woodworking and creating amazing products from the ground up. Some of my earliest memories centered around being in a wood shop, vacuuming sawdust, sorting hardware and using hand tools to build things and be creative.
My woodworking hobby became a part time business in 2016, and a full time venture in 2018. SInce then my team and I have been serving customers all over Douglas County and the Denver-metro area with our high-quality, custom barn doors, mudroom units, shelves, mantels and personalized keepsakes.

Chris
I could not be happier with the large White Oak Mantel , Chris the owner of C&S Toolworks did for our new fireplace. He came out that same day to do estimate and measure. He was professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with. C&S Toolworks understood the look we were going for and exceeded our expectations. It turned out beautiful, and is an amazing vocal piece for our Fireplace. The installation and process was seamless. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone looking for excellent quality service.

My mother and law passed away and left a beautiful dresser that I had been holding onto for years. It had water damage and had wear and tear. I thought I could refinish it myself but was way in over my head. I’m so glad I reached out to C&S Toolworks. Chris met me day one and looked at the wood and gave me information and ideas. The entire process they held my hand to look at it during the sanding process and Sara and I discussed colors and trying things together. They were able to troubleshoot problems with ease and exceptional communication. Chris was so responsive to emails and questions throughout. I was blown away by the final product it exceeded my expectations. Not only do they do amazing work but they are truly amazing people that love what they do. To say the least that’s rare to find. I’m so thankful I found them and would definitely recommend!

We count ourselves lucky to have found C&S Toolworks. Not only we are impressed with our barndoors but the quality of the hardware and the overall assembly and finish distinguish these barn doors from others. Everyone walking in our place, seeing these barn doors, are stunned by their beauty, craftmanship and what they add to our place. The whole process from start (deciding the details for our custom doors to the installation by Chris and C&S Toolworks’ team) was beyond our expectations. I can’t wait to find other projects for C&S Toolworks’ team to do.

They are extremely professional and the product is excellent! Everything we were quoted and promised was fulfilled. I would absolutely call C&S Toolworks again if we find another project. We feel very fortunate to have found them and you will not go wrong if you choose them, too. Thank you, C&S Toolworks!! We couldn't be more pleased!

Detail oriented, professional, excellent customer service. From the minute we walked into their shop, we knew that they were the right folks for our project. Chris was always clear and concise with his communication throughout the project. Everything was delivered and completed on time without a single surprise. The quality of the finished barn door was spot on. Trust me, you won’t go wrong by hiring C&S Toolworks. Superior service!! Highly recommend!!

Chris and his team have been some of the most professional and skilled workers we have teamed with. Every request and idea has been meet with enthusiasm and eagerness. Communication level is top level and customer service is the best I’ve seen anywhere. Even during the uncertain times of COVID C&S has been on top of it all with timing and friendliness. We have had 9 pieces made by them and we will have more in the near future! This is a go to company for custom woodwork!

Excellent experience dealing with Chris and Dan at C&S Toolworks! We had them build and install a custom barndoor as part of our basement remodel. From the first time we walked into their shop to the final installation of the door, they were friendly, helpful, and responsive. We even had the opportunity to see our door as they were building it! They delivered a high-quality door and never wavered on their timeline or commitment. I highly recommend this local business!

We could not be more pleased with our custom barn door from C&S. We have wanted a door on our master bathroom since we moved into the home 9 years ago. We liked the architectural detail of the opening but it wasn’t practical from a privacy standpoint. C&S had the perfect solution. We ended up with an 8.5 foot tall door that maintained the architectural detail that we liked. Designing the door was a fun experience as we got to work directly with Chris and his crew through every aspect. I am convinced they can do anything! They even called us in to double triple check the tricky stain color we were trying to achieve. They were also able to fix two existing barn doors in our basement. The prior contractor didn’t install a header board under the brackets and the doors were starting to dig into the drywall. C&S prepared and painted the new header, pulled the whole assembly off, and reinstalled it correctly. They also added soft close to the basement doors. Everything about the experience was perfect. Next we we hope to update a couple of fireplace mantels! Thank you C&S for the beautiful work of art in our master!

"Chris at C&S Toolworks is the best! I asked for a completely different design than the norm and a color that he would have to mix and he blew it out of the park. I wanted a barn door that was an art piece and that is exactly what I got."
Cindy S. via NextDoor
I second Chris Dickey at C&S Toolworks! He is amazing to work with! Quality work and does what he says! He has built barn doors, window cornices, fireplace mantle, and a pantry door!
Dana L. via NextDoor
We cannot say enough good things about C&S Toolworks!! We met Chris and his crew through our basement finishing project. Fell in love with the quality and creativeness! Decided to expand to our staircase and mantle. Again the quality is incredible. We asked about adding some beams in the kitchen and he was able to sketch out exactly what was in our minds. Installed product is amazing! Decided to add two doors in the kitchen as well as a valance and windowsill. Once again beyond pleased with everything. So pleased we are going to complete the rest of the first floor with matching doors, crown molding and baseboards. His ability to communicate through the projects was very much appreciated. We have remodeled most of our home and he is one of the only vendors that communicates, delivers and installs when he says he will!!! Give them a call - you won't be disappointed! 5 stars all the way!

We contracted with C&S Toolworks to build a custom book shelf for our new study. We had a distinct idea of what we wanted and told Chris our dream. When the crew showed up to do the install, we knew they had exceeded our expectations. The final product was far beyond our expectations and matched our decor perfectly. Chris and his crew were professional, friendly and did an amazing job of making our dream come true. Thanks C&S Toolworks.

Chris and his team at C&S Toolworks in Parker are AMAZING!! I started with one small project and just keep hiring them. They care about the product they create and the customer as well. They take good care of your home as if it was their own during installation. You just don't find this kind of craftsmanship, work ethic and customer service anymore.
For my projects specifcally they picked up/painted/installed a store bought barn door, built/installed 7 shelves of various sizes, color and distressing. These shelves were in a niche next to a TV, 8' long over a wine bar and 4' long in a basement bar. They also picked up/stained/installed a butcher block counter in my home to match the 8' long shelves. It all turned out gorgeous! Everyone that comes in comments on something they did. Run, don't walk, to have Chris and his team do your next project. You will NOT be disappointed!

We knew when we were going to finish our basement that we needed to have a barn door from C&S Toolworks. We contacted Chris from early on to come look at our space. We had a steal support beam and air ducts where we wanted the door installed. Chris came out and walked the site gave suggestions then got to work finding solutions. He came again when the framers were there to make sure that they framed enough support for the hardware he would need to install. As our other finishes came into the basement we met again with Chris and he came up with a custom stain to meet our color profile. We absolutely LOVE our door. The quality of work and service that we received from Chris was fantastic. I would highly recommend.

I have hired several companies perform work at property I own. I can tell you with extreme confidence that C&S is the absolute best in terms of quality, craftsmanship, professionalism and care. They custom built two super tall barn doors for our home office. The work they did exceeded our expectations and has created an amazing dramatic impact to the interior of our home. I wish all companies exhibited the personality and kindness of this group. Hire them! You will be amazed!

Chris and Steve of C&S Toolworks were referred to me by a family member. I was in need of a mantle for my bare fireplace. After meeting these 2 incredible artists, I had Chris come to the new house to take measurements. He 100% understood the look I wanted, including the color. Once my mantle was complete, we scheduled a time for them to install it. I am sooooo impressed! What a gorgeous custom piece of art I have as a centerpiece to my living room. The communication and professionalism was impressive, but the workmanship and obvious passion they have is a true gift to witness. I will be using them for more projects in the near future, I 100% recommend these gentlemen for your custom projects. LOVE MY MANTLE!

We had three barn doors installed in our basement by C&S Toolworks and the quality, craftsmanship and professionalism is second to none!!! They took their time to understand exactly what we were looking for, showed photos of ideas, designed the doors and installed them with the utmost care for our home. We absolutely recommend this company if you are looking for unique, handcrafted wood doors who are also the nicest people to work with as well! We will be working with them again on future projects for sure!
Kristen P. via Google Review
Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. Seriously folks, Chris and Steve are very detail oriented and will "work the problem" until they find a successful solution. Their quality is second to none. My wife and I had them install a barn door (real wood with large hardware, not some junk $300 online hollow core door) in my office a few months back and it just adds sooooo much life to that area of the house. After that project we asked them about installing rustic wood/metal cornices above our kitchen and living room windows. Other's couldn't handle the job (this was before we knew about C&S Toolworks), but Chris and Steve were up to the challenge. Even the way they installed the cornices above the windows to hide the mounting hardware was ingenious! The cornices are made from old rail road planks and are spliced together! You'd never know it by looking at the wood. The metal is REAL steel with REAL metal bolts that Chris spray painted and epoxied into place. Artwork for sure! But don't take my word for it, a picture is worth a 1000 words as they say (to be honest they look better in person)...

C&S Toolworks custom barndoor makes the entrance of our home “WOW!!!!” We needed an office solution, Chris took the time to listen to our various needs and wishes, he took a unique design we presented and made it a reality. The craftmanship, quality, and look of the door far exceeded our expectations. Thank you Chris and his team for making our office a real showstopper!

Just had a custom barn door installed by C&S Toolworks and we are over the moon with it!! They delivered high quality results from start to finish. Chris & Steve deliver top notch customer service. They start out by listening and asking the right questions to make sure they understand exactly what you’re looking for. Their craftsmanship is over the top with an excellent eye for the smallest detail. The finish is up with quality installation where they were respectful of our home by being clean and timely. I have no hesitations recommending Chris and Steve for your barn door. So great to work with a local company that offers personal touches.

Gorgeous barn door Chris, Steve and Dan custom made for my pantry, all I can say is wow wow, my neighbors are now wanting barn doors from C& S Tools. I give the the highest rating of 5+ stars not only for the custom door, but the quality, timeliness and professionalism the three of them handled my order and quick responses to any of my emails and texts. If you want a gorgeous quality door there is no other place to get one but C & S Tools! Thanks Guys

If you are looking for a great small business to design & build, or repair your Barn Door, then C&S Toolworks, LLC is the place to go! Chris the Owner and Chief Sawdust Maker was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about everything concerning Barn Doors. We needed to have an existing barn door redesigned using a quieter rail system. Chris took the time to come out and explain our options as well as give us a very reasonable quote for the redesign. He completed the install himself and transformed our barn door by redesigning the alder header and trim and changing out the rail system to one that was very quiet and literally glided open. Our barn door looks amazing and we are thrilled with the workmanship Chris provided! We highly recommend C&S Toolworks for any of your barn door needs!
